Model UN Committees
Each student delegate is pre-assigned to serve on one of twelve specialized Model UN Committees that focus on specific areas of international governance. In committee meetings, student delegates present their ideas to address the Scenario from the vantage point of their committee. They collaborate to craft and pass a committee resolution. All resolutions that pass in committee will be debated and voted on in the General Assembly session.
Committees are chaired by TU professors, alumni, graduate students, or advanced students.
Each student delegate should come to the committee meeting prepared as follows:
Research & Preparation: Understand the committee’s specific focus, issues, and how your assigned country fits into these discussions.
Debate & Negotiation: Present your country’s stance while working to find common ground with others.
Resolution Drafting: Develop detailed proposals or legal frameworks that address the issue at hand.
